The license
Buying Kettle gives you a personal, non-transferable license to use the app on up to 3 Macs at the same time. You can free up a Mac in the app (Settings → License) or through the link we email you at /recover. The license is a one-time payment and includes updates.
Free use
Without a license, Kettle runs with everything unlocked for 14 days. After that it keeps working with 1 workspace and up to 5 running terminals.
Activation
The app contacts kettleai.dev to activate, validate (about once a week) and start the trial. If it can’t reach the server, a license already activated keeps working for 30 days.
Refunds
You can ask for a refund within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked. See Refunds. A refunded license stops working.
What you can’t do
Share your key publicly, resell it, or bypass the license checks.
No warranty
Kettle is provided “as is”. It runs Claude Code and other tools on your machine, and you are responsible for the commands they execute and for your code. To the extent allowed by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid.
